After natural sedimentation and centrifugation, a pale yellow, transparent supernatant is collected with blood cells, fibrin, and coagulation factors removed. It contains a large number of trace elements, hormones, and proteins required for cell growth. It can be added to cell culture media to support cell growth, differentiation, and the maintenance of normal physiological functions.
