Newborn bovine serum is obtained from whole blood of newborn calves. After natural sedimentation and centrifugation, a pale yellow, transparent supernatant is collected with blood cells, fibrin, and coagulation factors removed. It contains a large number of trace elements, hormones, and proteins required for cell growth. It can be added to cell culture media to support cell growth, differentiation, and the maintenance of normal physiological functions.
ProGro™ newborn bovine serum is sourced from high-quality domestic blood sources and produced in a standardized serum purification facility. The product has stable performance and minimal batch-to-batch variation, making it suitable for the culture of common cell lines.
